A 16-year-old girl from Pretoria died after she was hit by a taxi while driving to school on her scooter, Beeld newspaper reported on Tuesday.Bernadine Kruger died on the scene after the taxi hit her scooter and then drove over her on Monday morning, eyewitnesses said.
The accident happened in Garsfontein around 7am after she left her father's home to go to school.
"I saw a taxi driving at a high speed behind her and hooting at her. Just as she attempted to change lanes, the taxi hit her," said eyewitness Hugo Vermaak.
