Some 68 counterfeit identity documents were found at a dumping site in Silverton on Thursday, Pretoria police said.Among them were three ID books with the same photo but different names and numbers, said spokesman Constable Sam Shibambo.
It is believed that they were used fraudulently. The home affairs department had been notified and an investigator was sent to the scene.
Police were also looking into the matter.
